Located in the Missiongathering Church on the Second Floor (420 E. 15th St.), The Legal Edge focuses on meeting the legal needs of those friends, clients, and neighbors living on "the edge."
The Legal Edge is designed to be an integral part of both the Law Office of Robert Forquer and The Free Store in Charlotte, North Carolina. We focus on meeting the needs of those who may be on the edge of homelessness due to a landlord/tenant issue, foreclosure, or disability, or on the edge of losing their freedom because of a pending criminal charge.
We also seek to assist others on "the edge" of starting new companies and helping with business plans, taxes, securing micro loans, and filing articles of incorporation or organization with the Secretary of State.
The Law Office of Robert Forquer is the operating entity that keeps everything else humming along. At the helm is Robert Forquer, educated at George Mason Law School in Arlington, Virginia. He is a trusted advisor who has practiced law in North Carolina for 17 years, with Real Estate Law being his primary area of focus.
The Free Store is the beating heart at the center of our endeavors. Located in NoDa, we collect donations of clothing and other necessities and distribute them free of chrage. The Free Store is operated by Vision Possible a 501c3 co-founded by Robert Forquer, and is intended to provide a safe place for physical needs to be met and relationships to develop.
We Rock! Everyone has their favorite music. There is nothing quite like the sound and feel of a live performance. In 2011 we determined to showcase local musicians and started our own music festival, known as Live Out Loud. We are working hard to continue to build an exciting festival around the Charlotte area and are also on the board of the Carolina Entertainment Network.
